Welcome to the 9th International Auriculotherapy Symposium to be held August 10 -12, 2017 in Singapore.
Auriculotherapy and allied therapies have recently become the “must-know-more” fields in clinical care. These therapies have been successful in applications as diverse as neonatal intensive care, emergency room and the military battlefield, improving peri-operative pain and alleviating stress, anxiety and depression. The broad application of Auriculotherapy in medicine today is due to its neuromodulatory mechanisms, which are based in neuroscience and these many applications will be showcased at the Symposium in August 2017.

The Symposium will benefit clinicians (Medical, Dental and Allied Health) keen to optimize their practice, hospital administrators and clinical staff seeking to improve health services delivery and optimize pain management. The Symposium will be invaluable for Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioners, as the neurophysiological evidence for effective ear protocols will enhance their knowledge.

The 3 day Symposium is a wonderful opportunity to hear the latest research and to participate in workshops run by the best in their fields:

From GLEM, Dr. Raphael Nogier will present specialist approaches to Auriiculotherapy, Dr. Michel Marigan will present the benefits of Posturology & Dr Chantal Vulliez will present skills and advances in Auriculotherapy in dental, facial, head and neck management. Dr Frank Bahr and Dr Beate Strittmater will be presenting both practical and interesting techniques from the German School of Auriculomedicine, Dr Richard Niemtzow will present battlefield acupuncture, Dr Terry Oleson will present the science of Auriculotherapy, Prof Steven Aung will discuss clinical applications and effective strategies, Prof Gerhard Litscher will present on high tech innovations in Auriculotherapy, Dr Marco Romoli and Dr Franca Deriu reveal Auriculotherapy’s biological evidence base and Prof Bai Xiao Zhao and his colleagues from PRC share their latest breakthroughs. Dr Jacques Chelly will be presenting his work on peri-operative pain management and auriculotherapy.

The Symposium format will include lectures and research presentations in the mornings and workshops in the afternoons. Take the time to visit our sponsors’ displays, test their products and support them! And don’t forget that Singapore is the gateway of South East Asia and an ideal location from which to explore the magnificent temples of Angkor Wat, experience Nonya culture and the magnificent cuisines of Malacca and Penang, see Bali, Phuket, Sabah, Sarawak, Hua Hin and Koh Samui and the boulevards of Hanoi.

The International Committee and I wish you a warm welcome and hope to see you in Singapore, 10-12th August, 2017!

Best Wishes, Im Quah-Smith
